Shambles, York
Shambles (or The Shambles as it is often referred to) is a street in the city centre of York with a long and interesting past. The Shambles were voted Britain’s most picturesque street in the Google Street View Best Street Awards. Visit the York Shambles website.

The Quilt Museum and Gallery is Britain’s first museum dedicated to quiltmaking and textile arts.
National Centre for Early Music
The National Centre for Early Music is based in a medieval church in York. Home of the internationally acclaimed York Early Music Festival, the NCEM promotes a year-round series of jazz, world, folk and early music concerts as well as a thriving education programme.
